• Beschreibung: Ethylene glycol mono-tert-butyl ether is a chemical substance that is used in analytical methods to isolate the acetate extract from plant materials. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties against fatty acid synthase and to be an effective treatment for bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Ethylene glycol mono-tert-butyl ether has also been shown to inhibit receptor binding of glycol esters and has been used as a low energy solid catalyst in organic reactions. This chemical substance is an inorganic acid with a pKa of 4.5 at 25°C. It is soluble in water, ethanol, ether, and chloroform and insoluble in dichloromethane or hexane.
