2-Ethoxy-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. It has a molecular weight of 162.11 and an average molar mass of 252.27 g/mol. This compound is used for the synthesis of metal complexes and as a ligand for transition metals such as nickel and palladium. 2-Ethoxy-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane has been shown to be stable under oxidizing conditions and can be used to functionalize substrates with hydrophilic groups such as alcohols. The nmr spectra show peaks at 3.42 (m), 4.25 (m), 5.01 (m), 5.61 (s), 6.06 (s) ppm and the elemental analysis shows C=35%, H=6
