2-Ethoxypropene is an unsaturated ketone that can be polymerized to form poly(2-ethoxypropene). This polymer has been shown to have antimicrobial properties and can be used as a polymerization initiator in cationic polymerization. Poly (2-ethoxypropene) has also been shown to activate toll-like receptor 2, which may be the mechanism by which this compound induces tumor cell death. 2-Ethoxypropene is also resistant to cancer, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species. It is also able to inhibit the activation of certain chemical reactions that are necessary for tumor cell proliferation. The hydroxyl group on 2-ethoxypropene reacts with chloride ions in water, forming hydrochloric acid and ethylene glycol. The phenyl groups on 2-ethoxypropene react with aldehydes and ketones, forming polymers
