Beschreibung

Ethacizine is a cardiac drug that belongs to the group of beta-adrenergic blocking agents. It is used for the treatment of chronic heart failure, which is a condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. Ethacizine reduces the workload on the heart by decreasing the rate and force of contraction. This medication lowers blood pressure by blocking sodium and potassium ion channels in cardiac myocytes, preventing them from initiating an action potential. Ethacizine also blocks calcium channels, thereby reducing calcium influx into these cells and inhibiting their contractile activity.
