EEDQ is used in the formation of antibody-drug conjugates and DNA-encoded bioconjugates formed from the reaction of an amine, a carboxylic acid and a DNA fragment. EEDQ is also an irreversible dopamine-receptor antagonist (see N-Ethoxycarbonyl-2-ethoxy-1,2-dihydroquinoline for Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Industries).
