Beschreibung:Esomeprazole magnesium dihydrate is a proton pump inhibitor that inhibits the production of stomach acid. It is a polymorphic matrix effect solid dispersion of esomeprazole and magnesium. Esomeprazole magnesium dihydrate has an optimum concentration of 3 mg/mL and exhibits two different morphologies: particle and microcrystals. The drug is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, erosive esophagitis, pathological hypersecretory conditions and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole magnesium dihydrate also contains excipients such as magnesium stearate, erythrosine red dye, polyethylene glycol 3350, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 6000 and sodium hydroxide.
