Beschreibung

(S)-N-Glycidylphthalimide is a chlorinating agent that is used in the preparation of organic compounds. It reacts with electrophiles to form a chloroform or hydrochloric acid salt. The reaction can be followed by following the release of heat and by the evolution of chlorine gas from the reaction mixture.
