Beschreibung

Ethyl chloro[(4-methoxyphenyl)hydrazono]acetate is a synthetic compound that has been used in the manufacture of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and herbicides. It has also been used as an analytical reagent for detection of hydrogen bonds in macromolecules. The molecular weight is determined by x-ray analysis and ranges from 260 to 270 grams per mole. The compound has a conformation that is indexed at 532 nm, although it is possible to detect it using other techniques with different wavelengths. This compound has been shown to have impurities including hexane and ethyl acetate.
