Beschreibung:2-Ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate (2-EHDP) is a fatty acid that is used as a plasticizer or lubricant additive. It has been shown to cause chronic locomotor activity and thermal expansion in mice, with the effects on locomotor activity being more pronounced after long-term exposure. 2-EHDP has also been shown to inhibit the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in vitro and to produce tumorigenicity in vivo, although it does not appear to be carcinogenic. 2-EHDP does not affect 3T3-L1 preadipocytes but reduces the viability of human serum and human cells, which may be due to its ability to interfere with lipid metabolism.
