Beschreibung:4,4'-(2-Ethylhexylidene)diphenol (Bisphenol A) is a monomer used in the manufacture of polycarbonate and high-density polycarbonate plastics. It is also used as an additive to toughen epoxy resins, especially for electrical insulation. This agent has been shown to be effective at transferring carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to carbonates and bicarbonates in water by means of the carbonate reaction. Bisphenol A is a known endocrine disruptor that has been shown to inhibit transcription and translation in bacteria.
