Beschreibung

2,3-Epoxysuccinic acid disodium salt (2,3-ESAS) is a lanthanum-containing compound that is synthesized by reacting lanthanum chloride with sodium oxalate in the presence of calcium carbonate. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, which can cause environmental pollution. 2,3-ESAS has also been used as a solid catalyst and an inhibitor of corrosion. 2,3-ESAS has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on polycarboxylic acid reactions and on the reaction solution.
