Beschreibung

Fast blue B salt is a reactive dye that can be used to detect the presence of bacteria in a biological sample. Fast blue B salt has been shown to have high resistance to enzyme inhibitors, and is therefore suitable for use in histochemical staining. The dye reacts with acetate extract from the bacterial strain, forming a coloured precipitate at an optimum pH of 3-4. This reaction solution can then be detected using flow assay or through histochemical staining. Fast blue B salt has been shown to react with DNA during the process of replication, which makes it useful for detecting bacterial cells that are dividing. Fast blue B salt also reacts with nucleic acids such as RNA and protein, which make it useful for detecting bacteria in blood samples or other biological samples. In addition, this dye can be used to stain tissue sections without affecting the tissue's ability to be stained by other dyes.
