Beschreibung:
Sunifiram is an allosteric modulator that has been shown to improve cognition and memory in animal models of Alzheimer's disease. Sunifiram acts as a positive allosteric modulator of the AMPA receptor, which is crucial for neurotransmission. Sunifiram also inhibits the re-uptake of acetylcholine and enhances the synthesis of acetylcholine, leading to increased acetylcholine levels in the brain. In addition, sunifiram has been found to be neuroprotective and anti-depressive, which may be due to its inhibition of opioid receptors. It has also been shown to have antiamnesic properties and inhibit herpes simplex virus replication.
