Beschreibung

2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1-(2-chloro-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-6-phenyl-4(1H)-pyridinone is a cytostatic drug that binds to the α subunit of the protein l1210 and blocks its ability to interact with the microtubules. This prevents the cell from undergoing mitosis and leads to cancer cell death. 2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1-(2-chloro-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-6-phenyl-4(1H)-pyridinone also has an antitumor effect by inhibiting the growth of ascitic cancer cells.
