Beschreibung

Flamprop-isopropyl is an amide herbicide that has a bound form in fatty acids. It is effective against the weed species Triticum aestivum and Solanum tuberosum. Flamprop-isopropyl inhibits the growth of plants by interfering with the synthesis of fatty acids, which are essential for plant growth and development. This herbicide also has an effect on the metabolism of protonophores, which are compounds that transport protons across cell membranes. Protonophores are used in some agricultural practices to increase plant yield by improving water uptake and nutrient availability. Flamprop-isopropyl binds to protonophores, decreasing their effectiveness as a result of its interference with their function.
