Beschreibung

Fluthiacet is a monocarboxylic acid herbicide that inhibits the enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS). Fluthiacet is used to control weeds in crop plants and has been shown to be effective against Velvetleaf, which is resistant to glyphosate. Fluthiacet prevents growth by inhibiting the synthesis of aromatic amino acids, which are essential for plant growth. It also inhibits the activity of oxidase enzymes, which are necessary for cell respiration. This herbicide has been shown to be an effective weed killer when combined with other herbicides such as imazaquin or methoxone.
