• Beschreibung: Fenoldopam hydrochloride is a drug that is used to improve blood flow in the heart. It is an alpha-adrenergic receptor agonist that increases the blood flow to the heart muscle by relaxing the vascular smooth muscle in the coronary arteries. Fenoldopam hydrochloride can be given intravenously, intramuscularly, or orally and has been shown to be effective against acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and congestive heart failure. The drug also has a vasodilating effect on skeletal muscle vessels, which may be useful for patients with chronic kidney disease or peripheral artery disease. Fenoldopam hydrochloride can be used as an adjunct therapy for patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments.
