Beschreibung:Fenpropimorph acid is an antibacterial agent that is a phosphite-containing organophosphate. Fenpropimorph acid binds to the ribosomal protein S12, inhibiting protein synthesis and thus leading to cell death. The compound also inhibits the activity of marker enzymes such as alkaline phosphatase and beta-galactosidase. Fenpropimorph acid has been shown to have antifungal properties, which may be due to its inhibition of chitin synthase, the enzyme responsible for the formation of chitin in fungi.
