• Beschreibung: Flumethasone 21-pivalate (FP) is a synthetic glucocorticoid that binds to the glucocorticoid receptor and suppresses the immune system. FP has been used clinically for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and other conditions, such as allergic reactions, asthma, cancer, and skin disorders. The drug is also used to treat skin disorders in veterinary medicine. FP is only water-soluble at temperatures above its phase transition temperature. FP has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and growth factors by binding to toll-like receptors on cells. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α or IL-6.
