Produktinformation

- Benzonitrile, 2-Fluoro-4-(Hydroxymethyl)-
3-Fluoro-4-iodopyridine is an alkylating agent that can be used to synthesize 3-fluoro-4-iodoquinoline. It is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme cryptolepine synthase, which catalyzes the first step in the biosynthesis of cryptolepine. The oxidative cross-coupling reaction of 3-fluoro-4-iodopyridine with aryl bromides or chlorides results in high yields with good functional group compatibility and structural modification. The stereochemistry of the product is controlled by using chiral ligands such as (-)-sparteine and (+)-palladium chloride.
