Beschreibung

Fasudil hydrochloride is a small molecule that binds to the G-protein coupled receptor, FPR2, and blocks the action of the intracellular signalling molecule, growth factor-β1 (GF-β1). This inhibition leads to an increase in neuronal energy metabolism and axonal growth. Fasudil hydrochloride has been shown to be effective against neuronal death following an injury. It has also been shown to reduce cerebral infarction volume and improve neurological function following a myocardial infarct.
