It also shows anti-tuberculosis activity and can be used to monitor the active site of phosphatases. 6FDA has been shown to inhibit the phosphatase activity of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) and protein tyrosine phosphatase 2C (PTP2C).
