Beschreibung:5-Fluoro-2-nitrobenzoic acid is a phosphotungstic acid and an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been shown to exhibit apoptotic activity in vitro, which may be due to its ability to induce the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria. 5-Fluoro-2-nitrobenzoic acid has also been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), interleukin 1β (IL1β) and IL6 in vitro. Its pharmacokinetic properties have been studied in rats and mice, with an oral bioavailability of 100%. The drug has also been shown to cross the blood brain barrier, with a high degree of uptake into the brain tissue.
