Beschreibung

Formamidinesulfinic acid is a strong acid that is used as a catalyst for transfer reactions. It has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of formamidine ester hydrochloride and sodium citrate. Formamidinesulfinic acid can also be used for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, which involves the measurement of changes in current or voltage caused by the passage of an electric current through a conductor. This chemical has been shown to be toxic to epidermal cells and is able to react with water vapor, leading to the formation of formic acid and sulfur dioxide. Formamidinesulfinic acid has biological properties that are related to its ability to bind metal ions and chelate them. This compound is an anhydrous sodium salt, which means it does not contain any water molecules.
