Beschreibung:
4'-Fluoro-biphenyl-4-carboxylic acid is a new chemical compound that has shown anticancer activity in cell culture and in vivo. It is an inhibitor of Bcl-2 proteins, which are important for apoptotic cell death. 4'-Fluoro-biphenyl-4-carboxylic acid blocks the binding of Bcl-2 to its natural ligands, thereby inhibiting the function of Bcl-2 proteins. This inhibition leads to cancer cell death by apoptosis. The compound also inhibits the production of DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis. It is currently being investigated for its potential use as a cancer therapy drug.
