• Beschreibung: Fmoc-L-homophenylalanine is a homophenylalanine analogue that inhibits the intracellular Ca2+ levels by binding to the ester linkages in the phospholipid membrane. This inhibits viral replication and has been shown to inhibit the replication of coronaviruses, such as SARS-CoV, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Fmoc-L-homophenylalanine also inhibits lung fibroblasts from producing cytokines and chemokines, which may be due to its ability to inhibit methyl ketones, an important precursor for proinflammatory compounds. It also inhibits P. aeruginosa growth by preventing bacterial cells from synthesizing proteins and DNA.
