Produktinformation
- Fmoc-D-HomoLeu-OH
Fmoc-D-homoleucine is a peptidomimetic that inhibits the synthesis of proteins by binding to the active site of serine/threonine synthetase. Fmoc-D-homoleucine has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against various bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The drug has also been shown to be effective in treating bacterial infections caused by Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Fmoc-D-homoleucine binds to the enzyme’s active site and prevents it from catalyzing the formation of an amino acid, which is necessary for protein synthesis. This process causes bacterial cells to die.
