Beschreibung

Fmoc-b-cyclopropyl-L-Alanine is a hydrophobic amino acid that belongs to the cyclopentyl group. It is synthesized by solid phase synthesis on a resin. The strategy for its synthesis includes using a piperidine derivative that reacts with the pentafluorophenyl ester of b-cyclopropylalanine. The reaction solution is then treated with trifluoroacetic acid to remove the protecting group, yielding the desired product. Fmoc-b-cyclopropylalanine has been shown to form gels in water, which may be due to its high hydrophobicity.
