Beschreibung:
(2S,4S)-4-Fluoro-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid is a chemical inhibitor of the bacterial enzyme carbapenem resistance that belongs to the class of drugs. It has been shown to have tumor inhibiting properties in animals. (2S,4S)-4-Fluoro-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid has also been shown to have antiangiogenic and anticancer effects on collagen production in vitro. The uptake of this drug has been studied using titration calorimetry, which showed that it binds with high affinity to the extracellular matrix. This analog is currently being investigated for its potential use as an antibacterial agent against both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
