Beschreibung

3-Fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have antitumor and antiviral effects. It inhibits the enzyme hexamethylenetetramine (HMT), which is involved in the synthesis of histamine, serotonin, and dopamine. 3-Fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde has been shown to inhibit the production of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5HIAA) in humans and mice. This compound may also have potential as an anticonvulsant due to its ability to inhibit epileptic seizures. The vibrational spectra of this compound are consistent with other similar compounds found in nature.
3-Fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzaldehyde has been studied for its effects on molecular electrostatic potentials, but these studies are not yet complete.
