FAPy is an efficient photosensitizer that can be used for photodynamic therapy (PDT). This compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria and red blood cells, as well as have anti-cancer properties. The FAPy molecule can be activated by light exposure and it has been shown to have a high affinity for oxygen molecules. FAPy also interacts with other molecules, such as hydrogen peroxide or human serum albumin.
