Produktinformation
2-Fluorophenylacetic acid (2FPAA) is an important intermediate in the synthesis of allyl alcohol, which is a substrate for esterification and decarboxylative allylation. 2FPAA can be synthesized through catalytic allylation of benzene with allyl bromide. The equilibrium between the two products can be shifted by changing the temperature or concentration of reactants. 2FPAA has been used as a precursor to produce β-unsaturated ketones, such as methyl vinyl ketone and methyl 1-phenylethoxyketone.
