• Beschreibung: STS-135 is a synthetic cannabinoid with potent agonist activity towards the CB1 and CB2 receptors (EC50= 13 nM and 51 nM, respectively). Its adamantyl carboxamide group is thought to increase affinity at the CB2 receptor1. In murine cells in vitro assays, STS-135 was shown to be more neurotoxic than other synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists. In in vivo rodent models, it encourages the release of dopamine in the shell nucleus accumbens3. In line with other synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists, it induces bradycardia and hypothermia in experimental rat models, as well as sensorimotor alterations and seizures in mice, which are prevented by inverse CB1 agonists1,2.
