Beschreibung:Pd 135158 is an opioid receptor antagonist. It has been shown to bind selectively to the μ-opioid receptor, which is a G protein coupled receptor (GPCR). Pd 135158 has been shown to have antinociceptive properties in rats and mice. It binds to the geniculate nucleus and induces histamine release from mouse hippocampal tissue. Pd 135158 also activates pancreatic enzymes by binding to the pancreas, which results in increased pancreatic enzyme secretion. This drug also acts as a potent antagonist of cck-a receptors, with maximal response at 10 μM. Pd 135158 increases excitatory responses in mouse hippocampal neurons at concentrations of 1 μM or higher and potentiates the effects of diazepam at concentrations of 10 μM or higher.
