Gastrin II sulfated is a vasoactive intestinal peptide that binds to the G-protein receptor. It has been shown to have a depressant effect on the gastrointestinal tract, and can be used in diagnostic tests for the presence of gastrin in human serum or biological samples. Gastrin II sulfated contains a disulfide bond that stabilizes the molecule and prevents it from degrading.
