Beschreibung

Glycylglycyl-L-tyrosine is an enzyme inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the neuraminidase enzyme of influenza A virus. It can be used as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of flu. Glycylglycyl-L-tyrosine is an acid conjugate, and its structure includes a hydroxy group, histidine, and a tripeptide. This compound reversibly inhibits the activity of neuraminidases in vitro at concentrations of 50 µM or less. Glycylglycyl-L-tyrosine also inhibits the activity of beta-galactosidase, alpha-chymotrypsin, and pancreatic lipase with IC50 values between 10 and 100 µM.
