• Beschreibung: L-Glutamic acid 5-ethyl ester is a hydrophobic amino acid that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of chiral molecules. It has been shown to be effective against group p2 and wild-type strains of bacteria, as well as other bacteria such as Aeruginosa strain. L-glutamic acid 5-ethyl ester has also been shown to have antibacterial effects against Staphylococcus aureus and may be used for the treatment of bacterial infections. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the glutamate receptor on the surface of the cell membrane, which prevents depolarization and subsequent activation of sodium channels. This blocks the transmission of signals in neurons and leads to cell death. L-glutamic acid 5-ethyl ester may also have some antiinflammatory properties due to its inhibition of kynurenic acid synthesis in brain tissue.
