Gaultherin is a natural phenolic acid that is found in the plant genus Gaultheria. It has been used for centuries to treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. For example, it has been shown to inhibit the production of eosinophil peroxidase in vitro.
