Beschreibung

Glycodeoxycholic acid is a bile acid that is synthesized in the liver from cholic acid and ursodeoxycholic acid. It is a potent inducer of CYP3A4, which can lead to drug interactions. Glycodeoxycholic acid has been shown to have beneficial effects in cell signaling pathways and in the regulation of iron homeostasis. Glycodeoxycholic acid also has been shown to be effective against bowel disease, such as primary sclerosing cholangitis and metabolic disorders such as diabetes. This bile acid may be used for treatment of various cancers, including colon cancer. Glycodeoxycholic Acid is an experimental model for the study of honeybee propolis.
