Beschreibung

Hexanoyl chloride is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by altering their membrane lipids. Hexanoyl chloride alters the lipid composition of bacterial membranes and causes them to form pores, which leads to cell death. Hexanoyl chloride has been shown to be effective against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae, as well as Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli. Hexanoyl chloride also has a low toxicity in humans, with no observed adverse effects in human serum or natural compounds.
