Beschreibung

Beta-Hydroxyisovaleric acid is a supplement that can be used to prevent or treat muscle loss. It is a by-product of protein metabolism and functions as an intermediate in the citric acid cycle. Beta-Hydroxyisovaleric acid can be found in foods such as red meat, cheese, milk, or eggs. It has been shown to increase redox potential and decrease protein oxidation. Beta-Hydroxyisovaleric acid supplementation has also been shown to increase endurance during prolonged exercise in humans.
