Beschreibung:
12-Hydroxydodecanoic acid is a fatty acid that is found in the form of its ester, dodecanoic acid. It has been shown to have a high resistance to water vapor and has been used as a transfection reagent in experiments with human serum. 12-Hydroxydodecanoic acid was also used for structural analysis and analytical method development for nitrogen atoms. The compound is an acidic fatty acid. It can be found in plant physiology as well as being a reaction intermediate in the metabolism of NADPH by cytochrome P450 enzymes.
