Beschreibung

2-Hydroxy atorvastatin-d5 disodium salt is a statin that inhibits the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase. It has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels in plasma samples, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the 4-hydroxylase activity of this enzyme. 2-Hydroxy atorvastatin-d5 disodium salt also reduces the amount of low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in plasma. This drug has a linear range from 0.1 to 100 μM and can be used for microdosing experiments with a microdose of 1 μM. 2-Hydroxy atorvastatin-d5 disodium salt can also be used for reversed phase assays with an assay development time of about two hours.
