Beschreibung

Helenalin is a natural compound that belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It has been shown to inhibit 3t3-l1 preadipocytes differentiation and promote apoptosis by inhibiting the phosphorylation of c-jun, as well as decreasing the expression of Mcl-1 protein. Helenalin also inhibits NF-κB binding activity and suppresses the transcriptional factor nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) in a dose dependent manner. The antitumor activity of helenalin has been shown to be due to its ability to inhibit cyclin D2 expression, which prevents tumor cell proliferation.
