• Beschreibung: Hydroxyfasudil hydrochloride is a drug that is used in the treatment of ophthalmic diseases such as choroidal neovascularization and age-related macular degeneration. It is a small molecule that blocks the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NFκB) signaling pathway. This prevents the production of inflammatory mediators, which can cause or worsen autoimmune diseases. Hydroxyfasudil hydrochloride has been shown to be safe for use in healthy Chinese populations and has not been found to affect cardiac glycosides or enteric bacterial flora. The drug also has no toxicological effects on animal studies.
