• Beschreibung: N-Hydroxysulfosuccinimide sodium salt is derived from N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide (Sulfo-NHS), it is water and organic soluble and can be used in conjunction with carbodiimides, such as EDC, to activate carboxylic acids as N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide esters which react with amines to afford the corresponding amides. The N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide ester is longer lived than the carboxylic acid-EDC adduct and thus improves the coupling reaction efficiency. This method has been used to study protein-protein interactions by making zero-length cross-linked proteins, to tag markers onto proteins and can be carried out in both the solid or solution phase.
