Beschreibung

4-Hydroxy-3-methoxybenzonitrile is a synthetic compound that is used in the synthesis of a variety of other organic compounds. The hydroxyl group on the 3-position of this molecule reacts with nitrogen nucleophiles, such as tetrazole, to form amides. 4-Hydroxy-3-methoxybenzonitrile also has the ability to act as a substrate for tyrosinase and demethylate. This property makes it useful in the synthesis of linear dNMPs and oligodeoxynucleotides.
