NHS has been shown to be cytotoxic and cardiotoxic in PC12 cells. It has also been shown to induce cardiac hypertrophy and ischemia reperfusion injury in rats. N-Hydroxybenzenesulfonamide has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth by affecting the biological properties of the molecule.
