Beschreibung

3,5,7,8,3',4'-Hexahydroxyflavone is a natural compound that inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of skin cancer. 3,5,7,8,3',4'-Hexahydroxyflavone is able to form stable complexes with other drugs and has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tumor growth in xenograft models. This compound has also been shown to inhibit p21 expression in human breast cancer cells by interfering with protein synthesis. 3,5,7,8,3',4'-Hexahydroxyflavone can be found in many plants such as cinnamon and lemon balm.
