1H,1H,10H,10H-Hexadecafluoro-1,10-decanediol is a hydrophobic molecule that spontaneously adsorbs onto copper oxide surfaces. The adsorption kinetics of 1H,1H,10H,10H-hexadecafluoro-1,10-decanediol on copper oxide has been studied and it was found to have an interaction with carbon nanotubes. 1H,1H,10H,10H-hexadecafluoro-1,10-decanediol has been shown to form a monolayer on a hexane surface. It is also known to undergo solvation in water and the thermodynamic data for this process are available.
